Academic Support and Administrative Team

Dr Edward Leweanya

Center Coordinator:
Provides overall leadership, supervision, and administration of the Center.
Ensures effective implementation of academic and administrative policies.
Oversees staff performance, student services, and program delivery.
Represents the Center in official matters and reports directly to the Directorate.

Mrs Ibeh Goodluck Chinaza

Deputy Center Coordinator:
Assists the Center Coordinator in managing daily operations and academic programs.
Acts in the capacity of the Coordinator in their absence.
Oversees specific units such as logistics, academic planning, or staff coordination.
Supports effective communication between departments and management.

Mr Ordu C. Liberty

Center Dean of Studies:
Supervises all academic activities, ensuring quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
Coordinates course scheduling, lecturer assignments, and academic support for students.
Monitors academic standards in line with the institution’s regulations.
Advises management on academic policy and curriculum improvement.

Mrs Ibeh Goodluck Chinaza

Head of Professional and Continuing Education:
Manages all professional, short, and executive courses offered at the Center.
Develops and promotes continuing education programs aligned with industry needs.
Collaborates with external bodies and organizations for professional certifications (eg. TRCN, MCE, PDE, PGDE).
Ensures proper accreditation and delivery of professional programs.

Mr Okolie Paschal

Head of Community Education and Extension Studies:
Coordinates community-based learning initiatives and outreach programs.
Promotes lifelong learning and adult education within local communities.
Builds partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and community organizations.
Enhances the Center’s social impact and public engagement through extension services. Reports all explorations to the Center Coordinator, and the Director of Community Education.

Mrs Anyadike Chinwe

Head of Exams and Records:
Oversees the conduct of examinations, assessments, and grading processes.
Ensures the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of students’ academic records.
Coordinates result collation, transcript issuance, and certification processes.
Maintains compliance with institutional and regulatory standards on examination integrity.

Public Relations and Information Officer (PRIO):
Manages the Center’s image, publicity, and communication strategies.
Handles media relations, community awareness campaigns, and public announcements.
Develops promotional materials and coordinates social media engagement.
Ensures timely dissemination of accurate information to stakeholders.

Head of ICT and Digital Studies:
Manages ICT infrastructure, e-learning platforms, and digital resources.
Ensures smooth operation of online classes, virtual assessments, and digital communication.
Provides technical support and training for staff and students.
Innovates digital strategies to enhance distance learning delivery and accessibility.

Center Secretary (acting capacity):
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Center’s management team.
Handles documentation, correspondence, and record-keeping.
Organizes meetings, prepares minutes, and maintains office efficiency.
Serves as the communication link between staff, students, and the Center Coordinator.

Quality Assurance and Standards

  • Oversees the development and enforcement of quality assurance policies across all academic and administrative units.
  • Conducts periodic audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to institutional, national, and international academic standards.
  • Coordinates accreditation processes, program reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provides professional guidance on continuous quality enhancement and institutional excellence.
  • Reports to the Vice-Chancellor through the Office of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance.

Research, Development, and Sustainability Education

  • Promotes a culture of research, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making within the university.
  • Facilitates research funding, collaborations, and publication opportunities for faculty and students.
  • Integrates sustainability principles into teaching, research, and community engagement programs.
  • Oversees the establishment of research centers, grants management, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Reports to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation, and Development).

Graduate Industrial Experience and Support

  • Coordinates graduate employability, industrial training, and professional development programs.
  • Builds partnerships with industries, corporations, and agencies to create internship and job placement opportunities.
  • Monitors and evaluates students’ industrial experiences and field attachments for relevance and quality.
  • Provides career readiness workshops, alumni mentorship, and post-study support services.
  • Reports to the Vice-Chancellor through the Office of Student and Industry Relations.
